Letter regarding Dillon Knoll, now playing with the Junior Lumberjacks:

Summary of my thanks to all of you:
To Marilyn, Coach Jacobson and all the Junior Lumberjacks that agreed to assist with a community project based on my dream, I want to summarize what this meant to my family.

Since my husband and I couldn't do anything about the chemo treatments we were undergoing, I dreamt of the changes in our life that would brighten our "cabin fever" weekends when we were sentenced to medicate and rest.  Our summer project before we were both diagnosed with advanced stages of cancer was to soften our landscape by bringing in natural grasses and plants and create a front yard paradise for wildlife for my "birdwatching" husband to admire.  We now needed this wonderland of plants more than ever.   Family from California, including a landscape designer, set aside one week in September to grant our wish, but, without the help of the Junior Lumberjacks, our dream was an impossible feat. They prepared the way for the landscaper to do his magic!

I thank all of the wonderful men that unselfishly shared the day with us, Dillon Knoll, Brad Curtis, Zach Wisniewski, Eamon Lynch, Jeff Lambrecht, Matt Berger, Joe Sposit, Evan Phenney and, of course, Marilyn Phenney.

Coach Bob Jacobson and "everyone's" mom, Marilyn Phenney, should be commended for supporting this project and are responsible for the energy exchanged on that sunny, September 15th Monday.  Music, family style meals and their love for each other, fueled these hard workers.   But, more than that, I want to thank all the parents and coaches that instilled incredible work ethics in all of these men!  I don't worry about the world anymore.

P.S.  Let me know when I can cook for them again!

Chris Lotenero and Tony Hess
