Annual Kohlman Cup 12U Boys and Girls all-star tournament
The Annual Kohlman Cup 12U Boys and Girls all-star tournaments will take place on the following weekends:
Boys: March 23-24, 2024, at the Sun Prairie Ice Arena in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Girls: April 6-7, 2024 , at the Verona Ice Arena in Verona, Wisconsin.

The Kohlman Cup is open to all 2011 and 2012 Tier II 12U boys and girls in Wisconsin. Girls must choose whether to try out for the Kohlman Cup boys’ team or girls’ team and are not allowed to try out for both. Kohlman Cup tryouts will be held the week of March 11th-16th at regional locations. Tryout dates and information will be posted on the Kohlman Cup website under Information
There could also be a goalie only tryout in certain Regions depending on the number of goalies registered. Stay tuned for more details on the Kohlman Cup website.
Players MUST participate in tryouts to play in the Kohlman Cup.
$35 tryout fee which must be paid on-line at www.kohlmancup.com
The Kohlman Cup team fee is $170 which includes practices, at least three tournament games and a commemorative hoodie. Team fee must be paid by first practice.
The Kohlman Cup started in 2005 as the WAHA CUP but was renamed to honor the many contributions former WAHA Board member Don Kohlman made to improve hockey in Wisconsin. Mr. Kohlman was instrumental in the creation of the WAHA CUP/Kohlman Cup and was on hand to supervise the first four tournaments. Mr. Kohlman passed away in October 2008.
The Jacob Trannel Skills competition is on Saturday during the tournament and is a great experience for all players and families to enjoy. Jacob Trannel was a member of the WAHA CUP champion Region 6 team in 2005 and he was also a member of the Region 6 team in 2006. Jacob was selected to play for Team Wisconsin both years he in participated in the WAHA CUP. Jacob passed away unexpectedly at the age of 15 in December 2008.

Monday March 11, 2024 – Registration closed – possible goalie ONLY tryout in certain Regions.
Tuesday March 12, 2024 – Tryouts at six regional locations (players must tryout in their home Region)
Saturday March 16, 2024 – Possible Regional practices (practices are set by each Region)
Sunday March 17, 2024 – Possible Regional practices
Friday March 23, 2024 – Check in for most players (hotels listed on Kohlman Cup website)
Saturday March 23, 2024 – 19th Annual Boys Kohlman Cup begins
Saturday March 23, 2024 – Jacob Trannel Skills Competition at 7:30pm.
Sunday March 24, 2024 – Championship, third place and consolation games.
